Creating online table booking for your customers is a great idea, but as many restaurateurs have discovered, it's easier said than done.

The Time2Dine website has been developed by local entrepreneur, Michael Brandon. Michael first got the idea when he heard about the successful table booking website 5pm.co.uk. He saw potential in this for New Zealand, and began to work with the concept.

After a year's development he's now launching this unique website with over 30 restaurants and an online babysitting service.

Time2Dine provides a unique, centralised way for customers to book a table instantly from restaurants in Auckland and Taupo.

With just a click of the mouse, Time2Dine allows customers to view photos, menus and wine lists from a range of local restaurants.

After browsing, customers can make a 'live' booking. The restaurant then receives an instant fax, email or text message saying that they're coming. An email is then fired back to the customer, confirming their booking details.

Time2Dine works in with your existing systems, and removes any uncertainty from the booking process.

Restaurant owners don't need to pay any subscription fee, however a charge of $2 per head after 5pm, or $1 per head before 5pm is required (Note: New Restaurants pay $40 plus GST per month from 1 Feb 2003).

"Time2Dine uses seats that restaurants would ordinarily have available," says Michael. "If a restaurateur has a sudden rush of customers they can simply book themselves out - at no cost - using the website or a phone call. It's completely self-manageable."

"The great thing for customers is that Time2Dine already has pre-confirmed seats. When the booking is made the seat is already waiting," says Michael.
