I booked St Tropez , through your website, for our 21st Wedding Anniversary celebration. I chose the restaurant after reading other reviews on Time2dine. We had a fantastic time at St Tropez. The food was superb, the wine list impressive, the service excellent and the value for money was tremendous. (enough superlatives!) Suffice to say I would recommend St Tropez to anyone looking for authentic french cuisine in a friendly relaxed environment. Thanks to Time2dine for helping us find a true gem amidst the throng of Auckland restaurants.

We dined out tonight on our 20th wedding anniversary and the meals were beautifully cooked and presented, the service was very good, the waitress was friendly and very skilled at her job, and also very polite with my bad schoolgirl French, which got worse as I had more red wine! We had a lovely dining experience, and hope to come back again soon. Thank you very much.

• In my mind, French food is about as decadent as it gets. So following a particularly stressful week, an evening at St Tropez, once voted the country's best French restaurant, seemed like the perfect balm.
• And so it was. I started to unwind as soon as I hit the cushy bench seat and picked up the wine list. By the time my glass of Château Belingard, bergerac blanc, Bordeaux ($7), arrived I was just about purring.

• A turde-necked Fepe Le Pew was wooing in the cosy ambiance of St Tropez when we visited on a Saturday night, and why wouldn't he? There are comparatively few French bistros in this city, and this could be the best of them, with amiable service and adroitly-realised, if classically buttery, French.
• The dishes, like the plump little forestière mushroom crêpe entrée that cornes parcelled up and tethered with greenery, are artfully plated, and the wine-list's smattering of Rhône valley reds is especially commendable.
• Very reasonable prices.
